Guide: Adding Cracked Apps to iPhone 2.0 using IPA Method

The Method uses cracked .ipa Applications to be Installed Directly via iTunes.

First you need to patch 1 File.

1) SSH into your phone, navigate to the folder: "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallat ion.framework"

NOTE: MobileInstallation.framework is a FOLDER!

2) Backup the file "MobileFramework" from the directory above.

NOTE: Rename it to MobileFramework.bak

3) Download this patched file - HERE : http://rapidshare.com/files/143396314/MobileInstallation.html

4) Copy the patched MobileFramework file into the "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallat ion.framework"

NOTE: MobileInstallation.framework is a FOLDER!

5) Set permissions to that new file to 775
6) Navigate to "/private/var/mobile/"
7) Set permissions to the folder "Applications" to 777
8) Navigate into the "/private/var/mobile/applications/ folder
9) Create a "Documents" folder in the "/private/var/mobile/applications/" folder.

10) Set the permission to 777
11) Navigate to the root level.
12) Navigate into the "/applications/" folder.
13) Create a "Documents" folder in the "/applications/" folder. Set permission to 777

12) Reboot your iPhone - IMPORTANT! Otherwise Apps will not install!
13) Restart iTunes
14) Download one OFFICIAL App from the app store, if you haven't already.

Note: Free app are fine. Just needs to be an OFFICIAL App.

Now to Install them :

1) Simply double click, or drag and drop the .ipa files into iTunes.
2) Sync them with your iPhone!
3) Reboot your phone IF the apps do not show up.
4) Enjoy!

Guide : Adding applications on 2.0

1) Download SSH in cydia
2) Download Winscp and enter the ip address of you phone and connect using username : root
Password : alpine
3) Download the games or applications from the net and keep the xxx.app folder ready
4) Copy the folder xxx.app to /Applications in the phone and set permissions to 775
5) Create a folder called Documents in /var/mobile and change permissions to 777
6) Restart springboard or winterboard or restart the phone

Make sure that all the files inside the folder have gotten the necessary permissions... else it wont work..

How to install applications..

1) Download the app folder from the net (probably it should be a zip file, so unzip it once u download)
2) Also download winSCP and install BSD and openssh in ur phone.

WinSCP : http://rapidshare.com/files/143397874/winscp416.exe.html

3) make sure that openSSH is turned “ON” in ur phone by installing BOSSPREFS
4) go to settings>>wifi and turn it on and make a note of ur ip address
5) open winSCP in ur computer and type the noted ip address of ur phone in winSCP
6) enter username : root and password : alpine
7) click on connect… it will open a window for security breach.. just click on yes..
8) now u must see the folder of ur phone in winscp
9) select /root from the winSCP
10) u must be able to find many folders like Applications, var, etc.
11) copy the xxx.app folder form ur hard drive and paste it in ur winscp window inside Applications folder. (u can also drag and drop)
12) then right click that xxx.app folder and set read, write, execute permission… u can do it easily…
13) close winSCP and restart ur phone….
14) u must be able to see the application in ur springboard..

Those who don’t have wifi u can follow this..
1) Download iphonebrowser or ibrikr
iphonebrowser : http://rapidshare.com/files/143398204/SetupiPhoneBrowser.1.7.exe.html

2) Connect ur phone to the computer using USB cable
3) Then u will be able to see the folders of ur phone in iphonebrowser
4) copy the xxx.app folder form ur hard drive and paste it in ur iphone browser window inside Applications folder. (u can also drag and drop)
5) Restart ur phone or reset the spring board…
Using iphonebrowser it is not possible to set permission for the Binary. Therefore you need to follow this
1) Start Terminal in the phone
2) username : root
Password: alpine
3) type the following commands
cd /Applications/Applications name
chmod +x filename
now restart ur phone if necessary

Guide : To put ur Iphone in restore mode

To put ur phone in restore mode follow this...

Method 1 :
1) Turn off ur phone
2) Now hold the menu button and connect ur phone to the USB cable or attach it to the Dock.
3) DO NOT leave the menu button unless u see a picture with a connect symbol on it.

Once u see that on ur display release the menu button. Now your phone is in restore mode

Method 2 :
If not hold menu button and sleep button until u see the connect screen.. this will also take u to restore mode..

To put ur phone in DFU mode follow this...

Method 1:
1) down dfu.zip from here... i have uploaded here...

2) Extract it to C: or any drive u want.. but i will give an explantion assuming u r going to extract it in c:\
3) click on Start>>Run and type 'cmd'
4) connect ur phone to the computer
5) type these commands

cd C:\dfu
dfu iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu

now u should see white screen in ur phone which means that ur phone is in DFU mode...

Method 2 :

1) Turn off you phone
2) Hold Menu button and connect it to the usb cable
3) your phone should be in restore mode now
4) Now hold both menu button and sleep button together for **10 seconds** and release the Sleep button on the 10th second but keep holding the menu button for another 11 seconds
5) your display will be blank but your itunes will say that you phone is in Restore mode. Thats DFU mode.
